About
We have no clients yet.
We would rather tell you that than dress up someone else's numbers or anonymise a case study we do not have. The audit fee is refundable if it finds nothing material, which is the closest thing to proof anyone can honestly offer before doing the work.
"Can you show me results from a similar client?"
No. What we can show you is the method run forward on an invented profile with every input exposed and every page labelled as a model — and we would rather you replace those inputs with your own than take our word for any of it.
A consultancy that has audited its own evidence base and says so is not conceding anything. It is showing you what the work looks like.
How we work
- Measure before advising. No recommendation without data behind it.
- Separate provable from inferred. Indexation coverage, verified crawler behaviour from your logs, and Search Console figures on a frozen query set are provable. AI-answer movement is a sample with error bars, and is reported as one.
- Every figure sourced, dated, and labelled with the instrument that produced it.
- Report flat months as flat. Most months the honest finding is that nothing measurable changed. A retainer that only ever reports gains cannot be checked.
- Cite official documentation. Google's own guidance tells buyers to check whether a consultant's recommendations cite it. That is a hiring criterion written by Google, and we intend to keep passing it.
What would make us tell you not to hire us
- If your site is small and clean and your problem is that nobody has written anything, you need editorial help, not us.
- If your buyers do not search — if you sell entirely through outbound or channel — the ceiling on this work is low, and we will say so.
- If nobody on your side can ship a fix within a reasonable cycle, a technical retainer will produce reports and no change.
- If you need same-day incident response, we are not structured for it.
The name
An auspex was a Roman augur: an official who read the flight of birds to advise on decisions before they were made. The work was interpretation under uncertainty — reading available signals honestly, including when they were unclear.
That is a fair description of measuring AI answers today. The systems are opaque, non-deterministic and change monthly. Anyone claiming certainty about how they choose sources is selling something.
Jason Klein
Three years working on the websites of AltheaSuite, a cloud inventory and ERP platform — which is to say three years inside exactly the kind of B2B software site this practice audits.
That distinction is deliberate. Most people selling technical SEO have looked at sites from the outside, after the fact, with a crawler and a list. This experience is from the other side: being responsible when a template renders differently than it was built to, when a page that plainly exists does not get indexed, when a change ships and something downstream quietly stops working.
The five gates are not a framework borrowed from a conference talk. They are a way of organising failures that had to be found and fixed on a live product site, on a deadline, with the people affected in the same building.
What that background does not include is a decade of agency case studies, and this page will not pretend otherwise. What it does include is the engineering layer — rendering, indexation, crawl access, the gap between what a site serves and what a machine actually keeps. That is the layer most agencies are weakest on, and the reason this practice is shaped the way it is rather than as another content offer.
